I earned a Master’s of Science in Social Work from Columbia University in New York City. I also hold a Bachelor’s of Art in Psychology and Visual Arts from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

I have worked in the mental health field with children, adolescents and adults in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. I have experience working specifically with the LGBTQIA+ and VFR communities. Outside of work I enjoy reading, going to the beach, and spending time with my husband and our two cats.

My journey in mental health began with working as a Case Manager for those diagnosed with severe disorders to secure housing and state entitlement services . From there I ventured into working in a Partial Care program offering group and individual therapy to adults.

I have spent the last 8 years working in education as a Certified School Social Worker where I had the awesome opportunity to work with students from grades K-12 navigate school-aged challenges while seeking wellness and assurance.

As a therapist, my role has allowed me to come alongside my clients and help them to see the clearest path for their life. I will work to empower you to have your own voice. Hello, I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) with over one year’s experience working toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

I have spent most of my professional career working in the teaching field, but in 2018 decided to return to school and pursue my lifelong goal of becoming a mental health therapist. Since 2018, I have worked with adults suffering with chronic mental illness and substance abuse.

I have also worked with domestic violence victims and children and youth with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), sensory processing disorder. I also specialize in helping people successfully navigate the challenges that come with some of life’s transitions such as divorce and career changes.

During sessions I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrate techniques from other modalities such as Trauma-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Commitment Therapy, Attachment Therapy, as needed to meet the needs of each client.

I also use Imago Therapy, Attachment Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy in couple’s therapy.

In deciding to become a therapist my goal is to be a helper to others offering not only my expertise but compassion, care and understanding. I hope to make therapy a pleasant and effective process for each individual.
